Finding Stillness in Me – A Lenten Prayer Concert featuring Hangad. March 14, in front of the Oratory.
Last March 14, Xavier School Nuvali held a Lenten prayer concert right after its regular 5PM Saturday mass. The prayer concert, entitled “Find Stillness in Me,” featured the inspirational vocal ensemble Hangad. The School glee club, Xavier New Voices, did the opening performances.

Hangad means desire in Filipino. It is a group of friends, young professionals, and students who desire to know, and help others know, God through music. Hangad has recorded several albums. One of which is “This Time With You,” released in 2011. The songs they sang during the prayer concert was from this album.
This Lenten season gives us a wonderful opportunity to stop and be still. Listen to His still, small voice and feel His holy, peaceful presence. And not just during Lent, let us remember to do this amid our busy lifestyles. Have a daily quiet time with Him–reading His Word, saying prayers, or simply meditating on His presence.
I take a breath and close my eyes,
And slow my world down for just a while,
And in the stillness, I see You before me.
I let myself go, and open my heart to You-This Time With You, Hangad
